Homemade breakfasts are just another reason it's nice to be back. While breakfast was certainly the best meal of the day at SEV -- peanut butter toast is a pretty nice way to start the morning -- variety is the spice of life.
Oatmeal, quiche, a botched attempt at flax French toast (oops, no eggs) and, yes, some PB toast just this morning... All have made waking up a little more pleasant.
One of my favorite recent breakfasts starred this Bear Naked banana nut ceral. Bear Naked is such a cool company -- all of their products have an identifiable ingredient list so you always know what you're eating and that no fancy chemicals were involved. I got this bag as a sample and can't wait to buy more. It has an intriguing combination of flavors with a hint of cinnamon tying everything together. Yum, yum, yum.
Mixed in my childhood Peter Rabbit bowl with some organic plain yogurt, flax, grapes, strawberries and raspberries.
PB toast -- good once in a while. But every day? I'll pass.
Alongside some Korean snow dew tea. Naturally sweet, uncaffeinated and a supposed cure-all for everything from hangovers to Alzheimer's. Also beneficial for "students who use their brains a lot."
